But the question is "Will President Bush listen?"
Unfortunately, in general our current generation has no concept of true sacrifice. All one has to do is observe the work ethic, or lack thereof, of so many of the twenty and thirty-somethings today. (Not all, but many). There is an attitude of entitlement. So to imagine that they would be willing to ration or sacrifice for a valid war effort? Eh, I doubt it. If only our society could always have the comradarie and desire to "do whatever it takes" like we did in the early days after 9/11.
My daughter's best friend's dad is in Afghanastan. I have seen her go through some major emotional problems. I pray every day that our troops come home asap. It's time.
