The root of it all is hatred...and hopelessness. Why would a person want to work through the hate inside of himself when he feels there is nothing really worth changing for--even for his *own* well-being? Without hope, there is nothing.

So your sweeping generalization caught my eye. And I read your post.
Thing is I was running a search on 'coward' and two or three down here you are...take that however.
Point is unfortunately [personal sentiment] the history of projectile slinging implements is the history of us. We sling words, we sling rocks, we sling bullets, we sling nukes. Good, bad, right, wrong are all personal sentiment in our end also.
Thing is this is how it is. Maybe some of us can find a way to move beyond this state of affairs, but till we do perhaps learning to use these tools will give us a chance to learn and then pass our learning on. And besides this I've found hitting my inanimate object to be great meditation. So I'm no coward, thank you.
And please be careful of that auger, they'll beat you to death if not careful.
