Hi Kevin,
I found you via another blog. I have a blog as well that highlights my son's diabetes. He was diagnosed right before his third birthday a couple of years ago, so I'm sure we could compare notes on the challenges of taking care of a type 1 toddler. He's 5 now and on the pump.
I think this program is great. I'd like to throw in a consideration for a recipient of the donations. Dr. Faustman who cured type 1 diabetes in mice. If you haven't already heard of her, go to www.joinleenow.org
Lee Iacocca started this fundraising venture so that Dr. Faustman could use the same techniques on humans. I'm a big champion of hers.
Visit my blog sometime.

Hi Shannon,
You'll have to comment back with your blog url. I've followed Dr. Faustman and the Iacocca Foundation's work for a couple of years. Great stuff! I think of this search for the cure like covering the table in Vegas. If we can place a bet on all promising avenues we might have a better shot. I'll definitely include Lee and company in the list.
As for our journey I'd bet there are many parallels. Amazing that it takes us all so long to figure things out after diagnosis. I'm still learning.
I look forward to finding blog!
