I keep thinking that maybe if my mind were wider open I wouldn't find dykes the species of human to which I least relate. There's no self-hatred involved; I love ME, dammit (and I love YOU) --there ARE exceptions, of course, but it is a sad state of affairs because goshgolly I do love women.
Fortunately, it seems to be changing among baby dykes. Unfortunately for me, I've no attraction to babies.
I love women too and I used to have this idiotic ideas like "lesbian sex is always better than straight sex because 2 women together do it better". I used to agree with events or bars for women only. Absolutely no men allowed. But now I just wonder: what the hell was I thinking?
What the hell were you thinking? You were thinking you should find the "Edith Fenster" within Ms. Finstere, burst through time and space and charge my bed.

I dont know. The thing is that after being with men for SO many years before I finally came out, I seriously do not wish to have anything to do with any of them anymore... (at least most of the time.)
My partner (of 24yrs) does not feel this way.

Wow. That whole description of the lesbian bar scene and lesbian interaction is definitely dead on.
I agree that men and women need each other and when the pendulum of social change calms down I'm sure the result will be a much more harmonious mingling of the sexes.
Although I'm with KMae, having been with men up until the time I was 34, I've had my fair share of the real penis experience. I don't need anymore nor do I want anymore.
Personally I think sex with women is far better than sex with men but that has nothing to do with a penis vs. no penis. It has more to do with the ''Lushly eroticized push-pull emotion' that Paglia looks down upon.
Camille Paglia is all about fucking. I certainly have no problem with fucking but her adoration for the male view of sexuality is so partisan it's like listening to right-wing radio - 'Yes, Bush is the second coming of Jesus Christ...blah blah blah...and Bill Clinton is the devil incarnate...blah blah blah...'
