Bhutto's killer was highly likely to have been a misogynist 'extremist' of some sort or other, but that in no way means that she was killed by Al Qaeda.

By which I mean, we've seen a range of disingenuous statements from Pamela Bone et. al., who insist that Bhutto was killed because she was a woman, or educated, or something like that.
There are plenty of people and groups (other than AQ) who might have gained something tactically from Bhutto's death, and the interpretations of Bone and the others are little more than the usual cheap culture warfare.

I should actually be more specific in future Hap because you're right in that it isn't necessarily "al-Qa'ida". I fall into the silly trap of calling all violent extremist Islamist groups "al-Qa'ida" as well and I don't even notice it! That's what happens when you read that "al-Qa'ida's" responsible for everything.
Though I don't doubt that the fact that she was an educated powerful women would have angered such mysoginist groups enough to try and remove her. Of course there are others who stand to gain also, but they don't generally blow themselves up for the cause.
