I disagree slightly. Israel bloodied Hezbollah up very well in the summer of 2006.

After having their soldiers kidnapped,they targeted mostly empty buildings with fly-overs and bombs, took out almost none of Hizballah's power or infrastructure, was repelled in every puny, weak, undermanned land strike effort, had to evacuate the northern third of the country under fire, failed to take out Nasrallah, and then announced surrender with no conditions and quit fighting.
Olmnert only succeeded in getting Israel hit by a lot of missiles and embarassing himself with weakness before the entire world.
