How'd Pierce lose a vote when the field narrowed?

The endorsement criteria were pretty high from what I understand. It would have taken a 70% of the vote to get the call.
Honestly, I think it says a LOT about DeWine to draw even with Pierce with two months to go before the primary...

I think that if this were an open seat, or if they had equal name recognition, DeWine would be yesterday's news.

I think this is huge. Wonder if the ORP will start calling Hal Yoder (Chairman) and his people names just like they did the Clermont folks...
It's tough to tighten your grip and see it all slipping away anyway ( for DeWine/ORP).
I hope that Bill has some people working grassroots for him.

How did Pierce do in the Miami County Meeting? I heard that was one of the biggest State-wide results. Didnt he come in Third in that meeting behind Smith?
