Respectfully I have to disagree. I won't vote for DeWine. I am telling every Republican I know to sit home or abstain.
I would rather see the seat go to Sherrod Brown than to sacrifice the very principles that made this party great. DeWine's brand of Republicanism is a cancer that weakens the very fabric of the Party.
It won't matter whether DeWine or Brown goes to the Senate in the next term. It really won't. In my lifetime, I can't remember a single thing the US Congress has done that has been useful.

I'm with ya, Atreides...but riddle me this: how does electing an uber-liberal like Sherrod Brown and risking the advancement of an uber-liberal, far left, fever swamp agenda advance a conservative agenda? That is my quandry...
Besides...if we stay home or vote for the other guy, that makes us no better than those idiots from COAST...
Matt, that is EXACTLY what will [ultimately] get me to the polls on November 7th. COAST is "underground" as we speak working on the same games as they did last year, telling people not to vote, etc. If I kept a copy of the last email I was forwarded, I will send it to you.
And although DeWine doesn't care whether or not we are voting "for" him or "against" Brown,
I cannot vote for a liberal, and I am convinced that we will one day be delivered from this faux-conservative who would be more honest if he called himself what he really is: a pro-life democrat.
But we must start now with someone to run against the cry-baby in 2008, and then DeWine. Who is there who isn't a carpetbagger, an obstructionist or plagued with scandals? Husted? Austria? Kasich? Who can rally the base?
And I'll concede AB's point by saying that [at least] with Brown, we'd know what we're up against and wouldn't be so surprised/frustrated when he votes against the conservative agenda.
I am writing in Pierce. If America is to be screwed up -- let a Democrat do it. I will not help.
