Matt, why do you think Tom received this accolade? Take a look at the voting record, notice all of the 98-1. 97-2, and 96-3 votes on bills over the last eight years? Tom ALWAYS voted NO on tax increases and expanded government. Thats why the lobbyists dont waste their time with him and why the other Reps whose votes are for sale dont care much for Tom.
Jean on the other hand had a solid reputation of doing EXACTLY what Larry Householder and Bob Taft told her to do when she was a State Rep. A simple review of the voting record shows this.

Nathan anNoy, if you're so confident that Brinky is going to win on Tuesday, why are you getting so desperate? Your latest "gotcha" is completely laughable. What a pathetic attempt to get one more chance at NOT making a fool out of yourself. How in the world do your parents still allow you to live with them? I would have kicked you out long ago. FYI: Steak n Shake is a $643+ million company that gave me complete P&L responsibility for a $1.6 million unit. They recruited me after I completed my MBA from The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business. I left there after a year to take a job in Chicago where I did put my law degree to use while serving as the Director of Government and Legal Affairs for a trade association.

Lobbyists didn't vote for this "honor, Nate, his fellow legislators did...the same ones whom Brinkman touts as having voted him "most principled" also voted him "least effective." I think that means something...and if Brinkman's three fans don't start mentioning this when the mention the other, I will.

I have to agree, Tom Brinkman is very ineffective at raising taxes, growing government at far beyond the rate of inflation, obeying Larry Householder, and being Bob Taft's biggest cheerleader. Brinkman just doesn't have it in him to perform those tasks.
However, Tom is great at fighting tax increases and wasteful spending. He's great at supporting gun rights and right to life. Brinkman stood with us to oppose Issue 27 (Simon's Sales Tax hike) and did a great job there, while Jean Schmidt showed up to the Blue Ash Republican club to support the tax hike.

All this mishmash is superfluous. Brinky (I love this nickname for ol' pompous Tom) is about to do a Titanic imitation on 3/4 and sink beneath the waves of GOP votes being cast for Congresswoman Jean Schmidt, never to be seen again going around and around in circles on the seas of local politics. Few will grieve his political demise.
