Weapons of Mass Discussion - TROLLS wll NOT be tolerated. Period.

Gravatar McCain is the King of flip flops, but you seem to have forgotten this detail. Every politician has flip flopped on some issues. Why don't you do your homework and write about McCain's flip flops. The reason - you'd barely get finished before the election. Seriously, you support a candidate who wants to stay in Iraq for a hundred more years, a guy who has to ask his advisors if condoms prevent HIV, a guy who doesn't know how to use a computer or have the faintest clue about the economy. They say that you elect the politician you deserve. Nothing could be more true for the U.S.

Good luck with that.

Gravatar I really liked Obama, not just for his perspective but for what he represents - change and progress. I started to have my doubts when first he kept mentioning how he has no affiliation with Islam. His father was Muslim, he did learn his fathers religion and that's not something to be embarrassed or in denial about.

But I let it go because I realize that there are some narrow-minded idiots that just can't get over this 9/11 Kill everyone that's not Christian paranoia. So it was an obvious move to just shun that entire site of his ancestry and heritage..but fine, if it gets him to be president then all the better for him.

But then he went on and started becoming really chummy with the Israel lobby group, saying that he would send over a couple billion dollars there way so they can continue their little genocidal war. And that I can't over-look, it's not enough that we're giving another country huge sums of money when we in fact have a huge debt problem with our own stupid unnecessary war.

But now we're funding another country to go out and kill their neighbours. He's bending to pressure, the Israeli lobby group is really powerful but come on now - we're not just giving them money to build houses or feed their poor, we're giving them money directly to build instruments of war. Why should we fund their war machine, when we have our own out of control weapon industry that is out of check.

I can't vote McCain (I'd rather vote communist) and I really don't want to vote Obama. I'd vote Green but that's like throwing your vote out. So I'm left voting for Obama or not voting at all.

Gravatar Glenn, what was the headline of this piece again? That's right, OBAMA's flip-flops...this piece isn't about McCain...but I understand your confusion because you are used to 527 media outlets making stories about Democrats be about Republicans instead. Go to Daily Kos if that's the way you want your blogging too. I get better things to do...

Gravatar MA: Don't vote at all...that is your best option.

Gravatar You would be a little right if you had the guts to:
1. Put your comments in context. check the facts.
2. Be fair and report your zzzzzMc what? short comings and explain. (see how unfair I am?)
3. All else is history. We used to be a nation of law and order ...now ...criminals are in chief and around us all brain washed like the yous...
4. Bless those of us who have the courage to say: wait..this is not good lets do this instead...and so on. There is nothing wrong with a little flip flap as long as it isn't criminal...For goodness sake grow up people and leave the flips go down if that is where correctness should live!

Gravatar Diana,

What the hell are you smoking? Would you mind putting some coherent, non-mary jane induced thoughts together before you waste my bandwidth with such babble?

Gravatar Dammit, if liberals only learned how to read in them government schools they are so proud of...

Gravatar Obama is a man who is obviously very unstable about many issues. Yes, it is true that politicians flip flop on positions, but there has never been a politician who has flip floped on the number of positions that this man has. He is very good at saying what the public wants to here, given the situation. Now do we really want some one to lead the most powerful country in the World whose views change constantly.

The last time we elected a president whose main campaign theme was "change" was Jimmy Carter. Oh yea, remember Jimmy Carter, one of the worst Presidents of the United States.

One more thing, if you were a member of a committee looking for a CEO of a company, would you hire someone with two years of experience. Obama has had a little over two years of experience as a senator.

We did elect a president with a short amount of experience as a senator, whose name was John F. Kennedy. Sorry my friend, but Obama is no Kennedy.

Hopefully America will wake up and see that Obama simply is not equipped to be President of the United States.

Gravatar Thomas, you wrote, "there has never been a politician who has flip floped [sic] on the number of positions that this man has." So I guess you are a historian who has researched EVERY politician who has ever lived. Or perhaps you are quoting a scientific study of every politician. In that case I challenge you to come up with a source. But of course you won't because you haven't studied anything more than Faux News' talking points. Do you think that because you state your case using the superlative form that people will assume you have proven your point? The ignorance you spout is tragicomic (you really ought to look that one up - BTW the letter T comes after S).

Gravatar Wow, Glenn, I think your doctors need to up your dosage...

Gravatar Wow Glenn, you almost sound like surfer...hmmm, coincidence???? But he usually is not as much of a total blooter as you are, nor is he as esoterically challenged in terms of the history of the pedagogy he has experienced.

Gravatar You people should move out of your mothers' basements.

Gravatar See ya Glenn...thanks for dropping by...

Gravatar This turned into a flame session quickly.

This post is a good illustration of the fact that Obama is just like every other politician. He's shown a willingness to throw his grandmother, his minister, his values and his integrity under the bus to get elected. He thinks the American voting public are idiots be cause he lies directly to your face (campaign financing and FISA) and expects you not to know or care.

So you have a young Senator, with no experience, record, or any other professional achievement on which to judge him, displaying a complete lack of any kind of consistency or honesty about anything.

As much as I disagree with McCain, and the many flips he's had during the last year, he has the experience to be the president, he has a track record of getting things done, and shown a willingness to work with anyone, regardless of their political party to do what he thinks is right.

Gravatar Obama is a flip flopping lying moron and anyone that would support him is an uneducate baboon

Gravatar Kudos to you, Glenn K, for trying to bring some manner of light to the unwavering dark. But alas, you represent a mere candle, and a flickering flame cannot penetrate the consuming dark of these people's minds.

And you're right. These people should move out of their mother's basements.

Gravatar See ya Ozymandias...thanks for dropping by...

Gravatar I was searching the web for "Obama, flip-flops" and I came across your site. I was searching for them because when I heard Obama's latest comments about Iraq, I got so pissed off I turned the radio off. Then I come across this site and I see some moron actually say "A little flip flop is ok as long as it isn't criminal"????? What the.... you've got to be kidding me. This guy has absolutlely no beliefs of his own, he has no back bone to state a belief and stick with it. What we have called "flip-flop" is just a nice way of saying that he is a liar. Bottom line, no other way to put it. Is McCain the perfect candidate? No, but dear God, I cannot imagine having this two-face, lying, unqualified, worthless waste of time as my President. The very thought makes me cringe. Thanks for having this site, and thanks for taking part in the fight, and above all thanks for the opportunity to voice these opinions and get this off my chest.

Gravatar Thanks for coming by, Jamie...

Gravatar I love it. I love seeing a list like this about the Messiah. Obama is not the answer. If you people think oil is high now, wait till Obama gets in office.

Gravatar To the previous commentor, none of the gaffs you mentioned was a "flip-flop". Stupidity, mis-knowledge, etc...absolutely and without doubt. But, those are not the changing of his position on issues. Feel free to sight any examples, as I would love to see all of these instances that the "King of Flip-Flops" (your words, not mine) has partaken in. I am not trying to be a jerk to you, as I would love to be informed about the other side of this argument (I am admittedly not informed on McCain's changes). However, you need to sight an ACTUAL EXAMPLE of a person changing their position on a relevant issue to the 2008 United States Presidential Election when you call someone the "King of Flip Flops". Thank you, and I truly look forward to your reply.

Gravatar Wow, great list. You have several that I had missed.
Obama scares me because he is a man that has become a 'rock star' to the masses and especially the mainstream media. All rheotoric and no substance. The MSM never calls him out for the polar opposite positions he espouses, depending on which group he's talking to. It's gotten to the point that I can't stand to watch the news anymore.
Yet, they (MSM) claim McCain is flip-flopping on offshore drilling. Yes, he has opposed it for many years. But, he takes changing circumstances into account for his policies, and realizes that we need to get out from under the oil industry(OPEC). Did anyone else notice how much the barrel price has been dropping in the short time since the majority of Americans wanted off-shore drilling?
I had the pleasure of attending Sen McCain's town hall meeting at YSU many months ago. He explained a very coherent, detailed explanation of his plan to find alternative fuels/power sources. He also discussed in depth his desire for more conservation.
Some of Obama's recent policy ideas are extremely similar to the ones that John McCain voiced months ago. Well, it's like in the primary debates when BO just repeated what Hilary said.
Keep up the good work. At this rate, BO wil hit 100 before November.

Gravatar Dont Forget his flip flop on NASA!

Gravatar Need a flip flop? McCain is already at 72 so for someone to say that Obama has flipped more than anyone is a outright lie. I am not saying that I am for Obama, I am saying that lying does not help.

{NOTE FROM SITE ADMINISTRATOR: Jessica, please use someone elses bandwidth for this. Try Blogger, I hear it's free!}

Gravatar And, Jessica, you rather overassuming young woman, WHERE did we say Obama flipped more than anyone else? Hmm? And where is the evidence of McCain Flip flops? Hmm? If you are goin to spew this nonsense, please provide some, I don't know...EVIDENCE...and evidence is more than just parroting what a left wing blog says. We backed up our flips and our flops with real links to real stories with like, real quotes....

Gravatar Mark: A commenter (not a regular)made that assertion. I had to HUNT to find that reference, but it is there... I don't think she is talking about you or me... BTW, she provided a list...which is what I removed because it carried over several entries and really isn't the point of what we're trying to do here.

Again, the point of this list isn't to establish that Obama is any more or less of a flip-flopper. The purpose is to establish that no amount of unicorn flatulence is going to allow Obama to pretend that he isn't just your typical politican. He is just that...nothing special about him at all.

Gravatar The reason we are pointing out Obama's flip flops is the fact that he went through the entire primary process claiming that he was a different kind of politics and that he wasn't about to play the Washinton Politics Game; since then he has switched dramatically on many issues important to the American people.

Gravatar Exactly, Colton...thanks for the clarification, Matt.

Yeah, we know McCain is a typical politician, but so is Obambi.

Gravatar You want some real obama flip flops?
Literally.

Check out http://www.marigoholdings.com/store/

Gravatar I am so disgusted with all the people my age who are Obama-crazy. If only he'd stuck to that one thing he said that one time about NOT running for prez, we wouldn't be having this issue.

What scares me is the thought that this inexperienced, unprincipled, two-faced, double-crossing, pro-Palestine man could actually win. Being a minor, I can't vote to change that, but I'm trying to have my liberal mother change her vote on the basis that Obama has no freaking clue what he's doing. I read her this list (thanks for having it!) and she STILL PRAISED HIM for having the COURAGE to CHANGE HIS VIEWS. Meanwhile, she jumped all over Mitt Romney (a favorite of mine) for the abortion thing. [eyeroll]

And don't even get me started on Michelle... JEEZ. I thought Mrs. Kerry was bad. I can't imagine this nightmarish pair in office.

Gravatar We must not have Obama in the oval office.

Gravatar We must not have Obama in the oval office.

Gravatar We must not have Obama in the oval office.

Gravatar Granted, Obama is a politican and anyone who thinks he's any more than that is a fool. I'm still trying to understand why people have a problem with persons changing their minds about anything. The explanation as to why they change their minds should be asked and critiqued. I personaly like it when someone can change their mind with changing times. I also know that a politican will say what needs to be said to get elected and they will speak differently in front of different groups of people. As the saying goes,"you can't please all of the people all of the time". A politicans job is to try. Stop blaming the politicans and blame the public for caring more about McCains skin cancer or Obamas flag pin. In reading the comments I noticed a lack of interest in what Obama does stand for and more of just a hatred of him no matter what he says. Lack of experience, wouldn't hire him to run a company because of it, but the american people would hire a person who ruined every bussiness he put his hands on or a person who in a time of severe economic trouble stated he didn't know much about economics. What does experience mean? Americans need to get mad at the system for flaws,ie, your vote is just an opinion, you only have two people to pick from for the most part, and a politican is a politican and they give the people what they want and not what they need

Gravatar Henderson,
The problem is Obama marketed himself as the transformational candidate, above the fray. His whole appeal was based on doing it differently. He has lied about that. He has lied about wright. He has lied about pfleger. He has lied about his countrywide buddy. What else will he lie about?

Gravatar [List of McCain stuff removed by site administrator as off-topic]

Gravatar This isn't about keeping score...waste somebody else's bandwidth for that, dude...or try Blogger, it's FREE!

Gravatar The reason Obama has flip flopped so much is because he wants to be everything to everyone.
This guy will say anything to anyone if he thinks there is a vote in it for him
Typical politician

Gravatar I am having trouble figuring out wether the comment Obama made about the abortion issue "Being above his pay grade" Was that total arrogance or stupidity"?

Gravatar How can some jackass actually write about "king of flip flops" and not include Obama's flip flops 1)fisa 2) nafta 3)cafta 4) the war 5) the surge 6) gay marriages 7)abortions..he stands on NOTHING he did while in the primaries.. Mccain has NEVER said war for 100 years, we are still in GERMANY 60 years later...

what Obama stands on his his buddies, like Bill Ayers, Rezko, Wright... racist, anti American HATERS.

America is NEVER elected a radical anti american racist !!!

Gravatar Is speaks VOLUMES more people tuned into watch MCcain then Obama.. Obama spent 400 million dollars for a shuck and jive speech, where he said NOTHING but the same ole same ole.. Economy cant be doing all bad can it? 400 million for one speech says the economy is pretty damn good!

Gravatar I am just really surprised that I do not turn on the news and see a mass grave of this guys followers. He reminds me of someone, but I just cant put my finger on it. HHMMMM

Jimmy
Jim
Jo
Jons
Jones

Ah, thats who he sounds like

KOOL AID FOR ALL HIS FOLLOWERS

HE IS JIMMY JONES REINCARNATED

Gravatar Not only does the big BO flip flop on issues according to his audience on any given day, he had already proved that he isn't forthcoming on his true stance on issues (or maybe he doesn't really have a stance!) by consistently voting "Present" as a Senator rather than making a commitment on his stance by voting "Yes" or "No" - I guess he figures if he doesn't actually vote one way or the other, he can't make anyone mad, right? As long as he doesn't commit, he can pander to the various groups of the masses and make them think he is on their side. Dangerous man in my opinion. McCain-Palin '08 ALL THE WAY. Thanks for the blog space - I guess I was a blog virgin up til now, first time and all that, OMG there'll be no stopping me now that I have had a taste LOL.

Gravatar its obvious obama will say anything to get into office. He just has the orating skills to persuade people to whatever they are expecting to hear.

democrats easily dismiss these flipflops even though some of them are pretty shocking. I mean, Obama flipflops on his Iraq AND Iran policies... his financial policies. Just about everything that our country is in need of a solid foundation now. I don't want the next president to be saying "Iran is no threat" to one crowd and "Iran is a grave threat" to another crowd, JUST TO GET ELECTED.

I admire McCain's willingness to forfeit presidential candidate showings to assist our country. His "Country first" theme however is viewed as a bunch of bullshit from the Democratic side. But to look at in perspective: McCain is a war veteran. You Democratic follies think he was fighting in Vietnam and a P.O.W. for years because it was in his best interest? Get fucking real people.

Democrats lack patriotism. They think about themselves. They build themselves up with personal attacks on opposers. get the fuck out.

Gravatar Obama never takes a stand on issues. I know he can speak well. I know he can move people. I know he can't tell me what public policies are important to the American population.

The problem is, the general American population is so stupid that they never bother to look up facts. They think "bad economy?" and hear "mccain lacks good economical experience?" and automatically assume McCain is not the option. Fail.

Gravatar Obama Bin Biden = Terrorists of the Unborn

Gravatar Barrack Obama fails when it comes to substance.

Gravatar &^%$ obama he doesnt know what hes doin

Gravatar Thanks for making this blog. I've spent long tedious, frustrating hours on the web researching political platforms for both candidates. My daughter has a term paper due on the candidates. I thought Obama was opposed to nuclear power so I was shocked to find hundreds of websites that said he was for nuclear power. But your documentation solved the riddle. He just flipped flopped.

Gravatar Well, it is after the election now and Obama is President Elect. It seems his tactics worked. How sad for our country. I am concerned what will be forthcoming in the next year. Will we finally see who the real Obama is, what he truly stands for? I fear his past associations and memberships gave us the real obama a while back yet mainstream biased liberal media down played it all, and pulled a teenage trick of telling a parent they are "living in the past", as though the past has no significance on the future nor shows what somebody is made of. Sure, people grow and change, hopefully to the better. My only hope is that as the huge mantel of responsibility about to fall on Obama's shoulders will wake him up to reality and the fact this IS his country and he now has the care of every single person within these borders and many around the world in his hands. Lets hope that he can show strong and come out swinging in a manner which will truly help heal this country. However, he IS just another politician who found a way to win an election during a period of the worst popularity and massive economic meltdown. Remarkably, McCain had a lead before the fallout, even in the face of Bush and Republican unpopularity. I am sorry such a good man did not become our President. He never pretended to be something he isn't.

Gravatar Seree,

thanks for posting, and even though I fear like you do, I really do hope Obama can turn things around...not for him, but for our country. However, McCain did try to be something he is not--a conservative, and he lost.
