this whole thing is a slap in the face to the people of colombia and their pro US leader.
democrats only seem to want trade deals that have exports for the US, no imports. that isnt how it works.

Pelosi's and the gang will probably block this at the behest of Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez and his narco-terrorist allies the FARC.

Well, don't mean to let reality intrude, but Chavez has very few friends in the Dem caucus. However, they are beholden to US labor leaders, and for THAT reason, this pact is not likely to pass. Seriously, Chavez has some marginal support on the fringes of the Dem party, and of course Dems in general don't see him as satan, but the real problem with this policy is US labor. I'm weakly in favor of the pact, but it should give us some pause to consider the HUNDREDS of labor leaders who have been executed by the government linked paramilitaries in the last two years in Colombia. Right? Or do they not get on your radar screen?

Colombia's leader is pro-Bush, not pro-US. There is a huge differnce.
This trade deal will increase trade deficits, expanding foreign debt in the process. This can only make the liquidity crisis on Wall St. even worse.

Yes, because the deal only opens open Columbian markets to the US without the tariffs that we are being charged now while giving Columbia free and open access to ours...
Wait...
Oh...nevermind...
