Let this be a wake up call to all future parents...enough of the cutesy names, bring on the glory names of yore...the Ida Pearl's and the Elmer's. Yes!
Elmer was one of the owners, back in the day, of the Old Albuquerque High School. At the time, I think Harry Kinney was the Mayor, there was a sort of fantasy of having a "riverwalk cum San Antonio" along the railroad tracks.
That thing went busto, and eventually Sproul sold his interest in the building to some of Mayor Marty's relatives. Or something like that.
Scootie was a civic-minded volunteer, had time/money for these kinds of causes.
