Thanks for touching on Myanmar. It's so massive I can't wrap my head around it at all, much less write about it. But the vacuum-like structure of that society is most certainly increasing the tragedy there by the tens of thousands, daily. Today I heard that the rounds of deadly infections have only just begun. Accepting "supplies but not people" was such a great idea, huh? Awful.
I love that NC can bring about an end to this primary (which, YES, we are at). So much fodder for analysis from here on out... And I'm truly, truly excited to start the general election. Last night I was watching McCain speak at an event and was gleefully reminded how easy it should be to blow him away. It's going to be fun.
Finally... Happy Birthday indeed, and missing Forrester so much, ladies!
Have a toast to me on the front porch tonight. Please?!

Thanks for the happy bday shout out. I shouldn't even be counting them anymore, if you know what I mean. Sure is good to still be here despite the many awful things going on in the world -- along with all the moments of true beauty and grace I've experienced and continue to witness and be part of.
Myanmar is a horror almost beyond belief. It makes our travails here seem minor in comparison, though all pain and suffering is pain in suffering. But it's the scale of it there that's so hard to absorb.
