I found it interesting that only 4 out of the 20 women are blonds. Not typcial Dallas at all, right?!

As far as Charleston, I just love walking in historic downtown and along the Battery. You'll have a great time!

Great point! We'll have to do some observation work when you're here and see if hair demographics have really shifted, or it's just an interesting sample

Mmmmm, Charleston = GOOD FOOD! A while back when Heather and I were in Charleston we stumbled across a restaurant that I wish we had tried, FIG. The atmosphere looked quaint and the website looks wonderful.

FIG ROCKS! If you can get there, do it!
Also, Rachel Maddow's show last night was fun. Loved the bit with crazy uncle Pat. I thought the set was a little strange, but it's Rachel--- who cares.

Dallas is awesome in so many bad ways.

Gotta stream that Maddow deal. Very happy for her. Fascinated by the MSNBC decision to table Obermann (sp?) and Matthews due to all the complaints.

The polling. Wow. The news today on the 20 point uptick for McCain for women...and the corresponding huge bounce for him with Catholic women (of both stripes) is rather mind blowing.

Even more so is a goodly number of that surge are HRC supporters. What about the reproductive stuff?! Tha makes no sense to me.

Listened to both speeches today; Obama in Ohio and McPalin in western PA. Call me crazy, but I think David Brooks is onto something in his column today with Obama giving up the "weird" advantage and going for this (currently) on policy.

His speech was a droning, policy point by point babble of nothingness.

In contrast, McPalin blew the roof off the joint. The difference was really stunning.

Why isn't Obama going for enthusiasm again?

Because he's working on the experience critique.

No one likes details.

They just want you to check the box.

Given our media, no one will even check.

Man, do I wish substance mattered!

Thanks for the Fig recommendation, but they're closed on Sunday when we wanted to go! We'll be at a wedding all day Saturday. Next time for sure!

On a much different Palin note, does anyone else find it hilarious that she lost the Miss Alaska title to a black woman?! In ALASKA?!

Saw the winner interviewed on Access Hollywood (or something) and I just about fell off the couch...
