Such a gorgeous post, Mikaela... your work with Voces has always represented the core of what you're about: finding your inner voice, expressing yourself creatively, and giving back to your community. It's been amazing watching you do this year after year!
Also... how happy am I that you were able to celebrate afterward with friends and libations? So very deserved! Cannot wait for future porch reunions.

Voces is so fabulous. It's a real honor to participate.
Every year has a special moment for me, and this version I very much enjoyed the conversation Kenn, Marisa (Alibi) and I had with the kids about seeing the opportunity inside the shake down of the news business. Particularly for black and brown kids making career choices.
This is a big issue for me, and the conversation carried forward to our break out group. It really excited me.
