How did you know I had all of the fresh ingredients in my refrigerator to make the lovely asparagus salad??? Guess I know what I'm making tonight! Thanks for sharing these |

I have none of the salad makings in my fridge right now, but the asparagus in my garden actually sent up three spears this year, which is miraculous considering it was virtually abandoned and only watered twice last year. And the lettuce is still just wee little seedling heads. By next year I'll be able to make this primarily from my own garden! (Especially if I build the limonaia I've been dreaming about to over-winter citrus). |

Nope, unfortunately. We live on the 11th floor and the way the wind whips around out there it beat all my herbs to nothing last fall. I'm looking for a structure to protect the planters from the wind, then trying again. |

Believe it or not, I have most ingredients for both salads! Minus the main components of asparagus, orange and farro. Whole Foods here I come! |

Spring Lettuce Salad with Roasted Asparagus was a hit in my house! I randomly served it with some prosciutto, kalamata olives, roasted garlic and baguette-YUM, yay for spring and summer eating! |
