Classic indeed, Marjorie.

Hey, Maggie, have you been to that little secret back pocket of the NC where people can band together and buy wholesale?

The sellers are mostly NC raised farm-types, the buyers mainly Indian and East-Asian immigrants. Mutually-beneficial awesomeness ensues.

If you like, some day you and your man can join me and my dad there and you can hear his hilarious play-by-play as we watch people try to get in on deals.

Why even talk about NYC and fish and 'whiting?!' Does anyone not know by now how much of this goes down in NM in certain circles?!?!?!?!

When I first got in the construction/remodeling business here, I can't tell you how many lectures short and long I got from peeps here of a certain ethnic background on the art and wisdom of pricing 'white.'

The imagery painted by that article was too compelling. Picture these different groups all flowing past each, in and around, doing the same business with the same vendors in the same space, but simply never talking or listening to each other. Nothing new of course, but the last sentence in the WSJ was great.
