I can so see what you're saying about the benefits of living in Guelph here. I'm giving up a lot of things, like closeness to friends, but I'm also gaining a really cool old house with tons of personality in a really nice old neighbourhood. I'm planning on going to the library tomorrow afternoon as a matter of fact, to get books on what the hell all the trees are (it's been a long time since I took that wilderness survival course) and some of the interesting plants in my back yard which is half part of the escarpment. It's scaring the shit out of me sometimes, but other times it's like the first time in so many years that I've actually had time to sit back and think about what I want to do with life, and read and learn and reflect. And write too... Change is always a double edged sword, but I appreciate the need for it. It's helped me to find out who really likes me for me, too.
