Maybe it went better than you thought and maybe the good luck of our friend will pass on to you! Either way though, at least you are in a great job right now, even if it is contract.

Definitely hard to read things. I have been to interviews that seemed great and got no offer and others that I thought were disasters only to find out they loved me...always stick to positive thinking and things will fall into place in time.

I can't tell anymore how my interviews went. There have been some where I thought I was spot on and rocked the place and then never heard back, and others where I thought it was just "okay" and I get a second interview. Especially those "form" interviews. You know the ones, where you're asked a list of stewpid questions obviously put together by and HR person that tell your perspective employer absolutely nothing about you, but just how well you weave a good yarn. Often the questions don't even make sense! I like the more casual ones where they ask about your experience, but it really just comes down to a good chat to see if you'd get along.

I'm wishing you the best of luck. Most times you can tell - but then there is always that one where you think things went very averagely or a bit below, and it turns out to be a complete success.
