Gravatar Well that brought back some memories! I absolutely loathed that damned centaur! The voice was beyond annoying! Remember Hammy Hampster by chance? How about H.R. Puffenstuff? The Kroft Supershow on Saturdays? I could go on and on! Now those were the days when cartoons were simply entertainment for kids and not simply a half hour long ad for a bunch of stupid toys!

Gravatar HR Puffenstuff was fantastic but the opening scared the crap out of me. I too remember Newt [was that the name?] as incredibly annoying.

I liked the Polka Dot Door and Mr. Dress-up, although I saw one years later and even then it looked kind of lame by today's animation and puppetry standards.

Gravatar yeah, actually, we talked about the hammy hampster one too...

Gravatar I'm so glad I missed those!

Gravatar Wow - I thought I was the only North American who liked cider. Another bond between us, Manja-luv!

And my contributions to the "remember when" fest:
(1) How can you talk about Hercules ("Hey Hurc! Hey Hurc!") without mentioning the egregious Rocket Robin Hood? They were all evil, I tell you, EVIL!

(2) Does anyone else remember the nauseating "Tiny Talent Time" on Sunday Afternoon?

(3) "The Friendly Giant" was a truly great kids show. He never talked down to you - even though you were very, very small!

(4) Hammy Hamster rocked - but GP the Guinea Pig had the really cool jeep.

Gravatar That Green Forest was crap, the colours were all so ugly and it was so saccharine, even for the under ten set. And the theme song...made the baby Jesus cry!

Gravatar I really like that site. It's so cool.
