that reminds me of having secret crushes on boys in elementary school. i would secretly tell them i loved them too. maybe you have a secret crush on john, on top of the not-so-secret crush.

you think it's sappy to say 'i love you' several times a day?

Gravatar kate - i think there is definite potential for sappiness in the several times a day category.

but yes, you must be right, i must have a secret crush on john...

Gravatar I do this too! It was a bit bizarre one night when she was still awake. There just seems to be something so sincere and peaceful about declaring love when you know it can't be perceived. Sort of like you are just saying it for yourself. It also made me laugh because this is how I used to work myself up to telling anyone close to me that I was gay, by saying it faster and louder in my head. Sort of like giving the three words a mental and emotional kickstart - or coming out, like popping a zit. You and John sound really happy, even if you are a little sappy!

Gravatar paula - mmmm. nothing quite so romantic as popping a zit. ;)

Gravatar See paula, I think the sappy is part of the happy... Keeping it sappy is a big part of keeping a relationship going for as long as we have.

That and separate covers on the bed. Separate covers are very important.

Gravatar John, hilarious! You may have just coined the new sign-off for '06 -
"Keepin' it sappy". I think you've got a book in that title!
