Gravatar An acquaintance of mine keeps updating us on the mouse situation in his house, and how he's "killing them humanely" because the traps that he uses "usually" instantly break their necks. It still gives me the squicks.
*I* personally do care if mice die a long protracted death - I tend to think along with you on this, that it just doesn't occur to most people that this happens. Then again there might be some sickos out there who enjoy the thought.

Gravatar I care, but I don't know if we're normal ; )

Gravatar Why not just get those sonar things that keep them away? They are humane and well sonary.

Gravatar @noone - we tried. They really don't work at all. :(

mum suggested we just leave the cats there for a couple days, but we're not convinced that would work either, plus, our cats would get really mad at us, and they have the ability to eat us in our sleep, so I prefer to not make them mad.

Gravatar I know how you feel. Glue traps are awful. Even snap traps of all kinds don't always work the quick and painless way they are meant to. The best thing I can reccomend is the zap traps. They basically shock, instant and bloodless. Seems the most human out of the bunch. Costly but best out of all the options.

Gravatar I love the fact you care about how the mice die. You need to get rid of them, but I agree that a humane method is best. I'm for the snap traps but when they don't kill the mice instantly, the mice do suffer.

Gravatar Of course, my cats are always around to eat them. It's too bad you can't leave a kitty there!
