It's a sorry comment on what we've been taught to consider important that taking care of one's self requires giving up something.
We pay lip service to the idea that we have to take care of ourselves but inevitably self-care is the first thing to go when life gets busy and/or stressful.
One thing that has worked for me in the past is to schedule something for the same time every day or every week.
Massage is always Tuesday at 5 pm (in my friggin' dreams!!) or, more likely, therapy is always Wednesday at 4.30. No excuses, no meetings schedules then, no appointments made for that time, it's carved in stone.
Hang in. You can do this.
