I had the same thought when I heard about this. I was thinking, "Well that's what you get for living so extravagantly, you don't need that stuff anyway, that money could've helped someone." And then I walked past a homeless person sitting on the sidewalk in front of a parking garage with a Jaguar in it, and again the same thought - the money for that Jaguar could've bought a cheaper, just as reliable car and helped out someone needy. But I also have to look at my own actions - I am sure I don't give as much as I could, I am sure I sometimes buy things I don't need. The consumer culture, the media culture, these absorb us like amoebas eating something and we have to be constantly vigilant and constantly striving. Simple life really is better!

Gravatar i wasnt sure what u were talking about at first...then i went to google search...and was surprised. i'm just curious how someone can carry all that cash around.
i agree as well, that at times i can be a little frivilous and spend money on things that i could do without...but i belive in donating and volunteering when possible, i also pray should i ever rubn into so much money i will rember others.
i'm very gratefull for everything i have ...and know there are always others out there who could use help.
