Gravatar Volunteering is way more noble than blogging...and it earns way more ajar! Good for you!

And what's the new addition? You can't leave people hanging like that!

As far as Filza goes...I hear you...my oldest daughter is going to be in the 5th grade this Fall, and if her stomping and pouting doesn't stop soon, I swear I am going to send that kid to some kind of survivalist boot camp. Sometimes my 2 year old is better behaved than her!

Gravatar Hey OY, thanks for dropping by! As far as what the addition is, well, you have to wait!lol Sorry! Trust me though, as the time gets near, I will be talking about it.

Your daughter sweet OY is in the 5th grade. What is that? 10ish or 11ish....OY,OY, my daughter is 17 and a senior in H.S.!!!LOLO It is pathetic!

And I do always have to remind myself that Filza has "Autism". It is quite difficult to raise a typical child so you can only imagine what it would be like with an atypical one!Alhamdulillah for everything! No complaints but thanks cause in reality, it could have always been worse!

What I have learned though in coping mechanisms is to always keep your sense of humor in any given situation (except seriously serious ones such as death; nothing too funny there!) But honestly, laughter is the best medicine, especially if you are about to lose your mind with your kids!! LOLO

Gravatar I want to start volunteering too. I would love to get in contact with some of the Somali organizations here in Portland and start volunteer translating in hospitals and such. I would especially like to work with women when they are giving birth in the hospitals here. I will post about it once I get around to it. Don't neglect your poor little blog any longer

Gravatar Dear sister,
I am a Hijazeya who came to your blog by chance, read most of your posts, liked it a lot, never wrote before as I am too busy and was not planning to write till I finish my exams, but 2 nights ago something interesting happened, I dreamed that I visited you, had good time with you and the kids, Filza, Sinan and Sayf, Fozan was not there may be because I knew he is in Jeddah, guess what? Sinan was talking to me, in-shaa Allah khair, got up optimistic for both Filza and Sinan, in the dream I enjoyed the visit especially the interaction with your sweet kids,Allah yihfazhom (z=th).
I never had a dream about someone I don't personally know and never met, may be because since I read about your family I included you all in my do'aa especially after witr prayer at night.
I apologise for my long message and my English, just felt like sharing this with you.
May Allah accept my do'aa for you and your family ya rab.
Salam

Gravatar Dear Proud Hijazeya,

Thank you so much for your kind words and prayers. I read this comment to my husband and he was also touched by it! You sound like a great person; may Allah grant you ALWAYS happiness, prosperity and peace, for you and your family!

BTW.....Your English, Masha'Allah, is AWESOME, what are you worried about? Where do you live if I may ask?? Who knows? Maybe Insha'Allah we will meet someday, either in this life or the next.

Gravatar Dear Manal,
It is my pleasure, please don't thank me, I did not do anything extraordinary, I'm sure anyone who read your blog as well as your husband's blog will be praying for all of you. I'm just a regular person who wishes happiness to every person on earth, i'm not great, thank you for your sweet words.

These days I'm temporarily living in the northern part of North America
I'll email the exact location if you don't mind. (don't like to have it public, you can call it saudi mentality lol
Allah yis3edkom.

Gravatar Salam Proud Hijazeya,

Thanks for your reply. Do not worry about letting me know your exact location. You answered my question. I was just curious to know whether you live here in the US or in Saudi, that's all!

Wish you had a blog. It would have been nice to know more about you! Again, thanks for your kind words and prayers!
