Your Zappa's birth stpry sounds a lot like my brother's. My mom was pregnant with kidlet numero 5 (yes, 5 .. no nother Catholic) and kept trying to wake my lazy ass dad from his sleep to take her to the hospital. He kept telling her she could wait .... and wait she did. Thankfully they lived very very close to the hospital at the time. My brother was born as my dad was getting in from parking the car.
If only we could all be so lucky!

Wow, I would've loved to borrow that blouse a couple of times (both my babies were nearly a week overdue, and my "quick" labor was eleven hours!).

I'm a teensy bit jealous.
My first: 18 hours of labor followed by a C-section.

Could have used that blouse 10 years ago. 2 days of labor and a c-section.
The others weren't as eventful, but with Busy Baby, I was scheduled for a c-section and I went into full labor the night before. So not fair.
