I think we've only had a couple of hard freezes this winter. That means tons of fleas, ticks, mosquitos, and flies when summer hits.
Oh, and today it's in the 80's, so summer can't be that far off, can it?
Sorry about Bambi and pals.

What Isabella said. And I've got a cold. My nose is bunged up and my chest is tight. And everything outside is frozen. Spring flowers? Pah!

(I never finds your posts boring by the way!)
what is with this strange weather. Here in Melbourne Australia the weather doesn't know if it is winter, spring, summer or autumn. (Currently summer for another week!)
So deers are giving you the shites are they? Sounds like the kangaroos down my parents way. They are breeding at an amazing rate so if you feel like soom good ole aussie roo let me know! (Though I have only ever eaten kangaroo once I would not eat it again - it was so rich!)

Where there were crocus, daffodil and tulip stems starting to poke through, there is now 4-7 inches of snow. I think its all cyclical - a good winter, a bad winter, it all comes around.
You don't want to hear this but I'm a little jealous of your deer. Well, you, not the dear. I'm jealous of you having deer in your yard instead of squirrels

Actually, there is a story out of CT.
Seems last year, lots of homeowners were livid at the idea of hunting dear, and threatened lawsuits, etc.
This year, after wrecking havoc on $100,000 landscapes jobs, those same homeowners are now DEMANDING that the deer be dealt with.
The story isn't quite over- now, the condo owners (who havent a care in the world), are threatning to sue the homeowners that 'abandoned' them and now want the deer problem dealt with.
Dont you just love it?
