Let see, what else....pool with no parents or lifeguard?!!!! Last summer a child died in a pool at a summer cap and there were lifeguards.

Interesting what you say about the higher degree of education needed for the easier teaching. That's exactly why my sister went on for her doctorate -- she wanted to teach but didn't want to have to deal with discipline problems of high schoolers any more.

Hi. I'm here from Michele's. I have the problem of running too many machines at once. I always forget and then a fuse blows so I have to fix that and choose which absolutely necessary appliance has to be turned off for a bit. Have a good weekend.
See, that's the thing. People like you, who were too busy actually TEACHING to get the Ph.D., get to teach the "hard-to-teach" ones.
People like me, who couldn't teach his way out of a paper bag but can talk a big talk about irony and postmodernism in music, have the time to get the Ph.D. and get those cushy gigs.

I am also well. I am pretty new to your site. I appreciate all your referrals to other blogs that I have also been enjoying. You guys seem like the greatest of communities. And, I love being here.
Regarding your post, I sit here while I finish a 2 liter of Cherry Pepsi (my fav) without a glass. I'm gross, I know. I never went for my masters. At times, I wish that I had because in computers/business, I have found a ceiling to promotion to manager position, for me, at least, unless you knew someone who knew someone. blah blah. But, then again, I would have even more adjusting to do to my current motherhood if I had ran a large department and made much more loads of money than I actually ended up making.
So, as usual, it all worked out.
Regarding the damn computer, I am currently trying to network two together. So much for that stupid computer science degree, I really am dumb! hehe So discouraging. I'm afraid I will end up calling one of those help lines--damn those folks. And, in the mail, we just received our new memory to also be installed on this computer. With my current frustration, I am sure I will have wasted my money in the end. I definitely will not let my husband near the thing; I still give him hell for other computer situation that I won't EVEN go into.
Lastly, your students must realize how hard you try to reach them. Thank God for teachers. And, I will have to try naked in the backyard this summer with the babies. Well, at least, diapers-only naked! It will probably be a necessity since it is going to be the summer of potty-training.

Oh and also I want to know the word you yelled at your children. Yep! I might have yelled it (or said it under my breath )myself when my children were swimming or playing on the playground, or biking, or playing in the McDonald's play place!!
