Great room. We've got one that's very similar. Different instruments but very similar.
Haiiiiiiii KarATe! I also remember "Canoe" (canoe Canoe?) I adore the instruments hanging all over your wall. Of course you would have mandolins and banjos and dulcimers and recorders -- I just knew that you would. I recently picked up a recorder for my daughter at the dollar store (that's, The One Single Little Dollar Store) that plays and performs equally as well as the much pricier one I had purchased from a music store. I am going back to get two more, one for my son and one for me. Perhaps you'll join us for a quartet.
I love how you have your stringed instruments displayed! We, too, have a guitar, a banjo, a ukele, a fiddle, and a dulcimer to hang on the wall in our "music room." We were thinking of just hanging them by those simple guitar wall hanging thingies but your shelf with the hooks is so much more creative!!! Thank you for sharing the picture!
This is what I'm gonna miss when I move to Massachusetts - the ability (though exercised far too little for either of our tastes) to just pop over and hang out in the Coolest Living Room Ever.
If you ever get to hang with Mamacita, consider yourself lucky. If she gives you some baked goods, consider yourself doubly so.
And yes, DIQ, though I wasn't into Voltron as much as some of our collective generation, I still remember "Megathrusters are go!"

House beautiful, indeed. And house "noisy," too. Your hubby plays 5-string banjo??!! He's my new hero. Honestly, there is no music I like better than 5-string banjo. I can listen to "Deliverance" 10 times a day.
I'm still back marveling at the bathroom. I remember Hai Karate; somebody on eBay will definitely pay good money for that foul stuff. Yes to transformers and Cabbage Patch dolls.

Used to love the Hai Karate commercials.
I have all my instruments hanging in the bedroom. Mostly guitars. I have all of my recording equipment occupying a quarter of the room as well. I'm not sure how Mrs. Muzikdude feels about it. Maybe, someday, I'll ask her.

You look like you have a very musical household! My stepsons nose whistles when he sleeps. Does that count?

Wow, unopened Hai Karate. My dad wore that stuff, and too much of it!
I was one of the women fighting for a Cabbage Patch doll, but sans knife. I heard that Sears was getting some in, and my 11-year-old step-daughter just HAD to have one like we got for her sister (I got that one as a fluke, too.) So, I trudged out to the mall, waited around nonchalantly, and asked when the dolls might be put out. Just then, I saw a young male employee bring out some large boxes. All of the sudden, DOZENS of women came out of nowhere and started "helping" him open the boxes. He skedaddled out of the way, and I swooped in and grabbed. It wasn't a blonde with green eyes, but OH WELL!
I don't think anyone else has asked, and I'd love the bottle of Hai Karate for the Hubster as a gift. It's one of the things that we joke about.

We just have guitars randomly occupying space around the house. On occasion Peaches suggests that perhaps just maybe we might pick them up and be organized.
But I want one to be conveniently at hand where I happen to be, so they MUST be spread throughout the house.
Hai Karate. One of the foulest colognes on earth and they had the greatest commercials.
I remember the fighting for Cabbage Patch dolls - my mom had to practically tackle a nasty woman who took the damn thing right out of her hands that Christmas. No one screws with my mom. My little brother got his damn doll lol.
