Tell me what you really think.

Gravatar My mother was not a great cook, but the memory of these cookies and "whoopie pies" bring me to tears, knowing I'll never get them exactly the same ever again. Well, I have had no bake cookies that were reasonably good, but no one has ever come close to her whoopie pies. Ever.

Gravatar they sound nice! I burn water but maybe i will give them a try! Have a good weekend

Gravatar YUMMY. Although I don't like to bake. SO...make ya a deal...you bake or no bake and I'll cook! Deal? Deal.

Gravatar Well I will be! I always put the cocoa and the vanilla in and boil it along with the sugar mixture. I guess it really doesn't matter how it goes it all goes in there and makes it yummy...fond memories indeed associated with these and YES in this hot weather we have had they are the best and fastest cookies to make...Maybe I will just mosey to the old kitchen and make me up some right now....YUM!!

Gravatar Cookies? YES! And no bake...they are cookies from heaven then!

Gravatar I have MADE these cookies before. They make the best breakfast evah. Yum, yum!

Gravatar Thank you, Mamacita! These are cooling on my counter as we speak. My kids are going to love me so much when they wake up to these!

Gravatar I made those very same cookies for the first time ever last weekend, in my last-ditch attempt to get rid of the peanut butter my kids refuse to eat.

They were a huge, HUGE hit - so much so that I went out and bought a small jar of peanut butter today, knowing we'll only be using them to make these cookies...

Gravatar Mmm! Mmm! I'm printing this recipe out right now... they sound absolutely yummy. And who wants to turn the oven on with the AC cranking! Thanks, Mamacita!

Gravatar My mom makes a variation of these except that in lieu of peanut butter, she uses coconut. Yummmy.

Gravatar Damn, I'm all out of oatmeal.

Gravatar I grew up loving those cookies - we called them "chewy charlies". I haven't had one in years, but it may be time to remedy that situation.

Gravatar i love cookies, but hardly ever make 'em. living in a household comprised of only me and my husband means when a batch of cookies is made, we have eat them ALL. not necessarily a bad thing, but it makes me feel like a piggy. because believe me, I WILL eat them all. :p

Gravatar I love that these cookies come out of a yarn-wrapped book with your little boy's handprint inside. I'll just bet that makes the cookies taste that much better.

Gravatar Anyone can make No Bake Cookies if they follow the instructions. And, as long as they followed the instructions they will taste good. However, it seems only the special touch of a mother's hand can make them all they are worth.

Gravatar OH! these are so close to what we call "Daddy's Favorites" (ours has butter in it).

We changed it a bit for my son (vegan butter, rice milk, and sunbutter substitued) and they are just as yummy!! Even my dad thought they were awesome that way.

Best thing? MAKES A TON. lol
