a sense of humor is pretty much an essential trait for being "well adjusted." unfortunately as we've noticed entirely too many people don't, or aren't, or have them. or something.

We have a trip planned for later in august with no offspring attached, I am so hoping it works out for several reasons. I should probably not mention it so as not to jinx it, but I guess it's too late.

I think a sense of humour is essential for dealing with children. You'll make yourself nuts real fast if you can't laugh at yourself and/or the situations your kids get themselves and you into.
