He was young. He needed the money. One thing about Shatner, he's not lazy. He WILL boldly go where no actor has gone before (or since, thank God)!

Geez, Mom. Don't rag on the Shatner! He's a sci-fi pioneer, and he apparently has an incredible ability to laugh at himself. At least ... I hope he does. Lucy ... in ... the ... sky ... WITH diamonds. And, I think that Ben Folds' singing with him shows an appreciation for silliness that makes me like him more. I disagree with you and therefore, you're wrong. There can be only one opinion on the very important subject of the Shatner. It's hard to get famous with the word, 'shat' in your name.
