That was a really good mix. I would, however, add my personal favorite traveling song: "sloop john B" by the beach boys. It's also a GREAT work song too.
Dr. Demento is still around? Kool! I usta listen to him whenever I could, back in the 70's. Haven't heard much about/of him since.
Road Songs.....RADAR LOVE by Golden Earring. I have never heard of most of those tunes you mentioned. We don't have a rock station where I live and only one FM station that comes in here and there from about 100 miles away......

Best Road Trip Song Ever - Roller Coaster - Red Hot Chili Peppers. I turn it up and belt it out and my 14 tries to hide in her seat while 8 and 5 sing along. We listened over and over on the drive from UT to AZ when we moved. I still love it and think of moving when I hear it.

The Doctor is getting old. Yikes--then so am I! I listened to him in college over 20 years ago. *gulp* Which makes me old enough to have seen pictures of the famous shoe shaking but not actually remember when it happened.
