Tell me what you really think.

Gravatar It's not?

:::runs off to edit last manuscript:::

Gravatar During The Great Pope Funeral And Barbecue Cook-Off of 2005, my girlfriend (the beloved Jawa Girl) turned to me and asked, "Since they don't embalm the Pope, does his beard keep growing? It looks like he's got some five-o-clock shadow there." I remarked they should give him a shave.

We then decided "Shoven Pope" would be a good band name, faulty grammar and all.

Gravatar I was going to attempt a bit of witacism until I read WFs "Shoven Pope" statement. How do you beat that?

I have horrible spelling and grammer despite my degree in english and even I knew that frooze was not a word. Eventually your students will figure it out too.

The Lumpy

Gravatar No, they didn't! Not on the mid-term!

Well, yeah, I can believe they did.

Still...

Gravatar It's "frozed", isn't it?

Gravatar I thought it was "freeze-ded"? Well, No Child Left Behind strikes again.

Gravatar I think it might be "shorn Pope," or alternatively "Shriven Pope." Although I'm not sure that the last one might not have something to do with being circumcised, or confessing sins. Or both.

Gravatar Whoopsie! Sorry, won't let that happen again.

Gravatar It's universal -- I am in the process of teaching verb parts and whadda-ya-mean-three-more-tenses-where-do-they- fit?

During guided and independent practice I chant, "There are no such words as brang, brung, swang, or drownded."

I do like "Shoven Pope," though.

Gravatar See, that's why my hair stands on end when I have to teach grammar.
Shoven Pope is a band I would love to see.

Gravatar I kinda like it: that would make the past tense of "sneeze" "snooze" and we'd have a real mess....

Gravatar Since you're a teacher, maybe you can help me out here. What is the past tense of 'thankyouverymuch'?

Is it 'Thankedyouverymuch' or 'thankyouverymuched'?

*lol*
