At first, I thought he said he was in shit and stuff...
I hate that. The last three class periods someone has come to class and asked, "Are we doing anything important today?" I always say, no, but I need to get a paycheck, so come anyway. Of course I then go on to say, Of course.
I don't get it. You know, I skipped classes. But I didn't come in and announce to the teacher I was/had been skipping class because I had something better to do.
Very poor class-ditching form to rub it in your teacher's face! If you show up to take the test on time and then pass it because you've been keeping up with the reading and getting notes from some helpful fellow, that's entirely different, but this young man's behavior is terribly rude.
Kids need firmness. Eventually, if he ever comes down from his high long enough to build a life for himself, he'll come to appreciate the fact that you didn't cave. Nicely done, teach.
