We had Uncle Zeb. He is still one of the greatest ever, and there's a website praising all things Zeb at http://tulsatvmemories.com/zeb.html.
When Uncle Zeb wrote me in response to my email, it was a thrill, and I am many years removed from my Bluebird days. And I daresay he didn't say anything about tornadoes, because we certainly saw enough of them up close and personal, but he did teach us how to make a squirrel out of a bandana and make it jump

I heard that all that nasty weather is heading toward me here in Ohio. I don't know when it's supposed to hit though.

I have to know: Did Cowboy Bob say "steelies" were illegal at marbles? (Or, as well called 'em, "migs'?)

Mmmmmm...Cowboy Bob. My first crush! And Janie. And Sammy Terry. Long live local Indy celebs!
"Christmas time is...almost here..." hehe. Thanks for the memories, sis!

If pressed, I can still do the "Wooo-hoo-hoo-oo-ooo!" part of the theme song to Cowboy Bob's Corral
Good ol' WTTV. Cowboy Bob, Janie (was it Treble Clef or Trouble Clef? It's been too long), Sammy Terry for your ghoulish delights, and Three Stooges shorts every afternoon. Kept a generation from getting involved in after-school activities, it did.

What great memories you brought to my mind. I loved Cowboy Bob and Janie (were they REALLY married? I actually heard Cowboy Bob was gay...he certainly was a cuite!). Good times. And Friday night Sammy Terry and his spider but I can't remember his name.
As for the tornadoes...I am blogging on the same thing. Talk about false alarms. Sirens and then nuthin. Sirens and then nuthin...I mean, come on!

Hope you and yours all are okay. They were heading our way. I think we are safe now. Just gonna be cold in the morning. Yuck.

Find somewhere safe and take everyone there...including the cat, the computer, and Hubs. Scary times.

YES...I loved Cowboy Bob! He visited Bedford when I was in elementary school, and I did not get to go to his show because I had chicken pox, so my mom and brother brought me autographed memorbilia from Cowboy Bob himself! And, yes, Janie and Sammy Terry! Ah...those were the dayzzzzz.... Peace... Lisa

Dang kids! Don't they know their poor safety habits only drive us to drink? Here's to all of our kids remembering lessons on how to stay safe in tornadoes... and hurricanes... and earthquakes, etc.
When we were little we had Sheriff John. I can still sing his "Put another candle on the birthday cake" song.

We were discussing Cowboy Bob over dinner tonight. I told my husband that I fell in love with him because I thought he was Cowboy Bob!!! I would like a copy (DVD) of Cowboy Bob's Show. Do you know where I can get one?
