So I am glad I am not the only one feeling the way I feel. We have not even put up the first ioda of decor. I can't get motivated...not even the first branch of holly

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that we are FLAT BUSTED BROKE!
Broke here, too... and still not motivated to email all the mixmania participants.
And I'm sick.

welcome to my life...pre-holiday blues...all the way till December next year, then the cycle starts again.
There seems to be a dirth of missing packages. There must be a monster at the post office.
Yeah, through those pumpkins. It might feel pretty good.

I learned a new adjective yesterday: stabby. As in, "Post office screw-ups make me feel stabby" or "I'm still a little stabby toward my ex." Apply as needed.
Did you watch them as they took your package? At the local post office here, they take them and THROW them in the bin, this has been seen many times. Lovely, isn't it?!
the pumpkin thunking sound beats the seed hands down. we've put the tree up upside down, but it's naked. i hear you.
I'll bet my rotting, stinky and blackened pumpkin sadly melting on our front porch that it would make more of a "splat" than a "thunk!"
The only 'thunk' around here is my head on my desk as I try to re-arrange my finances. Honestly, do I really need electricity?
I say wait until the next time your mailperson comes round and then throw the pumpkins - kill two birds with one stone.
I hope those packages turn up soon!

On a budget here, too. The high cost of out-of-state tuition (grumble, grumble). Throw those pumpkins, sister! The squirrels will thank you for it.
