Tell me what you really think.

Gravatar Oh man! That totally sucks!! I'm sorry to hear of the demise of your music library. I once deleted mine accidentally. Thousands of songs gone. Just like that. I think I cried for 9 days.

Gravatar Oh my gosh! WTF? oops-sorry. That so totally reeks

I'm still missing things I couldn't transfer from my old computer--sometimes I hate these things as much as I love them.

Gravatar Oh crap. I know how important music is to you and that just is stinky. Hope it has not been hijacked...just hidden

Gravatar My sincere condolences on your losses. A vital part of who you are is lost in cyberspace somewhere.. I do hope they are found soon. The word should be out there DONT MESS WITH MAMACITA!!! carol

Gravatar Do yourself a favor and get yourself one of those one gig memory sticks. Back up your files onto that every once in a while. Much less heartache that way....

So sorry.

Gravatar Oh. My. Goodness. This is terrible Is there a chance to find out what happened and restore the missing files?

Gravatar Oh no! That's so frustrating... I had a computer crash and burn a few years ago and my father recently surprised me with 4 cds of music that he had finally managed to rescue from it after all these years. It really felt as though I was reuniting with old friends!

I've been there and felt that pain... I hope you find some way to restore your files...

Michele sent me.

Gravatar Ugh, this hurts me to know you've lost your music. I wonder if one of the files you opened automatically converted your old files to some other format. Did you try searching a specific file name (i.e. 'you shook me all night long.*') as opposed to searching by format ('*,mp3')?

Gravatar What an absolute bag'o'shite!
I hope they turn up in a restorable form.

Gravatar I recall way back when suggesting that 8,000 was too many. But I didn't mean to lay a hex on you.

I'm really sorry for your loss, 'Cita, if indeed these are gone forever. Good luck in the recovery mode.

Gravatar After your scream is over, try restoring your system to a previous point when all your files were complete.

I have done it and worked. Of course this works if you are using Windows XP.

If not, then start collecting your files again and back up your hard disk. Imagine loosing your whole drive and you have no back up. That would be an atomic bomb.

Good luck with your endeavor,

Omar.-

Gravatar OMG, that's horrible. It would be like losing your right arm. How sad for your. Hope they turn up somewhere. Might be time to invest in an external hard drive, to store all your music on, or put them all onto DVD's for safe keeping. Best of luck,
Meow

Gravatar this is terrible news- please post an update to say you've recovered them. I think of you and music in the the same breath.

Gravatar Hurry up and try Norton Ghost! They might still be there in your hardrive. See, Windows does it this way. It makes a link to every file you have available, and that file gets "deleted," the links just disappear from the database so it isn't really gone until the space it's using is replaced. Norton Ghost might still recover some of them.

Gravatar Man that sucks. :-( I'm so sorry.

Would you like a copy of the Xmas/holiday tunes you sent? Just let me know...

Gravatar OMG, that's so sad. I'd cry for days if I lost my music. I have very eccentric taste in music, and a lot of what I have is really hard to find. I'm so sorry you lost your music.
