When I was young, I thought that someday Haley Mills would surely be my girfriend. My life, as it turned out, has been awfully good but, alas (and possibly alack), no Hayley Mills. Not a card, not a call. Nothing.
Yes, it still smarts a little.

One of my 14 year old son's favorite movies last year and the year before was the original Parent Trap. I don't know how he ever heard of it. But he loved it. I haven't done a poll to see if he still loves it.
I don't watch a movie with a book. I'd miss the movie entirely. My family has to physically touch me for my hearing to turn on when I am reading.

we just watched "Pollyanna" this weekend - 1960 (I think?) with Hayley Mills & Jane Wyman. My 7 and 9 year-old daughters absolutely loved it! And I agree on the parent trap - the original is so much better!

I LOVE Pollyanna (loved the book just as much too).
I only read (the paper) if the movie is one I've seen lots of times before or if it's a little boring (or a lot LOL).
