Tell me what you really think.

When I read "Colin Firth could, but he wouldn't want to" I actually made some sort of cackling sound that was laughter.
I'm becoming an old crone.
I remember going to the lake with my boyfriend and HIS FAMILY...jumping in and swimming around gracefully...then standing up in waist high water, chatting with my friends, never noticing that one boob was just letting itself be seen in all it's nekkid glory...

How I lenjoy seeing the past-tense of dive used correctly!
My daughters like Colin Firth, too. Have you seen WHAT A GIRL WANTS? It's not a masterpiece, but there is a scene toward the end where Mr. Firth gyrates in skin tight motorcycle leathers.

I had the bottoms come off.
Really.
It was 1977, and I was in the seventh grade. My "boyfriend" and I rode the city bus to the YMCA to go swimming. It was my first real date. Or at least I considered it that.
The suit was a purple with white trim, thick polyester number, with what they now call "boy shorts."
It was the suit from the year before, and the elastic was shot. Although, I didn't know that until I hit the water in the deep end, and those "boy shorts" ended up between my knees and my ankles. I almost drowned trying to pull them back up before I surfaced.
Oh, and the "boyfriend?"
He figured out he was gay.

This has been my single best argument of why my daughter shouldn't get a 2 piece (it's really shocking how tiny they cut them for 11 yr olds @@).
Only thing worse trying to get a bathing suit on my fluffy body--trying to get a wet one *off* LOL
