Peas make me gag, too. But I confess that I really like cantaloupe.
Because if you are like me (and it seems that you are - except I would like to add soup and fish to that list of inedible things), french fries, burgers and deep fried almost-anything is perfectly fine to eat. Breakfast, lunch or dinner.
I like melons, but I'm not big on fruit -- too sweet for me, I have more of a salty tooth, if there is such a thing. Love the tomatoes. We keep dairy goats and my wife makes mozzarella cheese and we've got basil in the garden and my mouth is watering just thinking of it! We also put onion and garlic into some of the soft cheeses we make. I O.D.'d once on garlic at this restaurant in San Francisco that serves pretty much nothing but the stuff! I have a feeling you'd starve at my house, is what I'm trying to tell you! 
Your post inspired me. Check out my livejournal for a post about the untouchable foods and why they are such. And, the things I and other people eat that are weird.
I love all of those things, except watermelon and gravy. Gravy is pretty gross to me, especially when people put it on french fries. WTF?
My favorite pie is pumpkin. I love to make pies, too.
Geeze, even back when I was skinnier than Kate Moss at her slimmest I loved all those things. Still do (but I have never, ever put gravy on French fries. Now, melted cheese? That's different....LOL)
You sound like you're perfectly matched to your hub. 
Does his family SALT their melons? Mine did! And my dad called them mushmelons too.
Hate peas and garlic, but I love chocolate cream pie or blueberry pie (once in a blue moon).

OH CRAP and when you were here I fed you...Garlic Roast with gravy, (although I do not do the dripping kind of gravy...gag) tomatoes with motzerella. I can not remember if I offered melon because that's a HUGE treat in our home. At least I didn't make a pie! OH THE SHAME.
Nor do you like green bean casserole. I remember-- bacause I don't understand it.
