Tell me what you really think.

We must be buying the same shitty $9.99 Big Lots special toaster. Mine is a snooty four slicer and I'll be damned if one side doesn't burn bread to a cinder while the other side keeps it raw as can be. Cause, you know, ain't nobody in this house gonna get toast that's just how they like it.
WTF is up with that?
And the crumb thing - do you have wood drawers?
If so, don't they chafe?
*snort*...ok, really, my wood drawers "shave" every so often. But then again our house is over 100 years old and the cabinets and drawers look like they aren't much younger than that.

YES! The same monster invades my house. I blogged about this quite some time ago, and NO ONE confessed that the same thing ever happened to them. I cannot understand it: clean silverware goes into the drawer, et voila: crumbs in the drawer. I am convinced that the same monster is responsible for the missing socks from the dryer. It's gaslighting us, I tell you!

I hate to say it - but I could have written the part about the crumbs in the silverware drawer. Mine is at least 5 feet from the toaster too, but mr. kenju always puts the butter on the counter where the silverware drawer is and leaves it open while he butters his toast. I have begged, and pleaded, and threatened and given in (finally) because I knew it wouldn't do any good not to.

I will join in and tell you that the same monster lives in my house and has lived in every house we have occupied in our AF career. He has followed us all over the world, so devoted is he. Frankly I'm ready to get rid of him. Any success I have, I promise to share with you!!

My silverware drawer gets crumbs in it too and the toaster is on the opposite counter. It would have to walk along the edge of the sink and across the counter to the drawer. I'm starting to suspect it's a plot to drive us crazy by some higher being.

I don't think I have crumbs in my silverware drawer (I'll check when I eat breakfast this morning!) and I've had the same toaster since college (20 years now). I guess being an infrequent toaster of bread has its benefits!

I took the silverware tray out a couple weeks ago and washed it. Felt much better without all the crumbs. Oh yes, for sure, we had 'em.
