Tell me what you really think.

Gravatar Some folks are conscientious(sp) to a fault, while others don't give a rat's a$$.

I get another twist on it. Some of my parents will send the kids so sick, they have no business in school and then if you try to reach them, you either can't find them or they say they will be right there and they never show up to pick up their kids. Very frustrating!

Gravatar I hate umbrellas too, and I often say I'd rather get wet than carry one.

Gravatar The whole "sleeping in" thing would NEVER wash with me, either. The Boy has one friend whose parents take him out of school many times on Fridays or Mondays so they can take little mini-vacations in south Texas. What kind of message does that send? Oh, right...the one that says it's OK to sleep in if you feel like it and make up the work later...

Gravatar awww mamacita, what a sweet post. Poor thing.

Gravatar Only tourists use umbrellas in Seattle.

Have you seen THE UMBRELLAS OF CHERBOURG, featuring Catherine Deneuve with music composed by Michel Legrand? It is an opera, of sorts, and an antidote for rainy days and hard times.

Put on the teakettle. I'll bring the tissues.

{{{hugs}}}

Gravatar This one brought tears to my eyes.

Gravatar OMG. That poor girl. I hope the class is kind to her. I know you will be. I hope she will even be able to stay in school.

Gravatar I love umbrellas, especially sharing them as they allow me to get intimately close. Heh heh.

However, I now regularly ride my motorcycle to get to three different colleges and I’m very much looking forward to the pleasures of riding in the rain.

As for the two girls, at least the lazy one was blatantly honest. I can only assume (hope really) that she’s fully aware she won’t be having an opportunity to makeup lost work.

On one occasion I was in bed with my girlfriend and everything was just soooo pleasantly nice (the warm summer breeze, the songs from the birds, the beautiful blue sky visible through the window) that I allowed myself to miss a quiz, but I was fully aware of the consequences and I still think it was a fair price to pay for a few extra minutes of perfect bliss. :-D

Gravatar I'm not sure if I'm angry or sad here. I cried, yep-you know me.

I'm sick of that attitude the other girl has. It seems she is not alone in her lazy thinking nowadays. What ever happened to self-respect?

Gravatar I don't do umbrellas. Hats, yes, but umbrellas just drip all over the place and then I forget them.

I'm with you on the yin and yang of your students.

And of course you are a precious contact to me on the blogosphere. How could it be otherwise?

Gravatar I don't know how you do it....I admire you so for the great work you do with these kids. And it is incredible that that one girl showed up after her sister died...I wish I could say I didn't understand the other girl wanting to "sleep in"...but, is that what we are supposed to do? Help! (lol)

THanks so much for your visit and your very kind words....it means more to ne than I can say...
