Tell me what you really think.

Gravatar heh~

you said cock.

Gravatar What a delight to meet up and enjoy a blogger face to face.

Gravatar Michael Caine on a talk show has a wonderful, slightly-softened, Cockney accent. He adapts his accent for his roles, so it's sometimes startling to hear him speak naturally.

The new movie The Prestige apparently (from the trailer) has several Cockney characters. Besides, it looks like a great movie (Nikola Tesla played by David Bowie?! Ya gotta see it!).

Gravatar You certianly made me smile the other night and though the play was delightfully HORRIBLE, we still totally enjoyed the evening. I will work on getting that cockney accent...but if I can't I will just have to settle for...oh never mind *wink*

Gravatar Is this somehow related to black and tan and all that rot?

Gravatar snort...I'm giggling still!

Gravatar Ooo, how awesome! Cockney is nearly my second language! (Ahem...) My grandfather watches British show after British show, and I naturally love watching the shows with him, so I have become quite familiar with the diverse British dialects.
Your Cockney translation was great! It reminds me of the little helper boy to Sherlock Holmes of the Basil Rathbone renditions.

Our theater is putting on Les Mesrebles! I will most definitely have to see that!

Gravatar hurrah for accents! you do a great job. i love playing with accents, but i've never been able to do it online. sweet!

do you have certain words you always say with an accent? i say 'wal-mart' with a drawl, i say 'bar' with a chicago "A", and 'vodka' must be said with a russian accent. fun!

Gravatar I like the rhyming slang.
But your post reminded me of that scene in Waiting For Guffman...

"'allo, 'ow are oo?"

*teehee*
