A few years ago, we had a tornado warning-- WARNING, mind you-- and after it was all over, and some people had lovely new skylights in their houses installed courtesy of Mother Nature and that 75 year old pin oak next to their house, some #@&%! had the gall to complain in the newspaper about having the season finale of "Friends" ruined by all of those annoying weather alerts and the meteriologist popping in to interrupt what seemed like 57 times. Because, you know, what are some people's lives when you gotta find out if Rachel and Ross are gonna get "busy?"
Idiots. I'm an Okie, now, remember-- and I've seen tornadoes hop over my house and then touch down the next block over. I've actually had relatives die at the hands of these things.
Tornadoes are nothing to joke about. My family has a mark on their foreheads-- I've told my students that if the sky turns greasy green, we're heading downstairs, and I don't care WHAT the sirens say.

Incredible is right. I would like to see this one printed on the front page of every newspaper in the country.
Living in Canada, we don't get much 'nutty' weather, but once when I lived in Southern Ontario, I watched the sky turn green and MEAN.
That was enough to scare the crap out of me, and reinforce my belief that I don't want to live any more south than Toronto.
I don't know how people do it every year.

We know what violent weather can do - the Missus lost her sister, age 16, to a lightning strike.
Nature can be beautiful when she gets angry, but she has no concern for us little, puny humans - and you'd best not forget it.
