Gee, I just wish I even made $40,000. I think I have to teach another 7 years or so to get that! (and this is my 12th)

All hail the mighty Really Good Community College.

When we moved back to CA in my son's junior year of high school, I was horrified at how bad the public schools had gotten--he was doing things in 11th grade he had done in 8th grade in North Dakota--so we had him test out and sent him on his merry way to the local community college instead.

It sucks you got hit with such a royal paycut...teachers on all levels should be paid more.
