I buy tires at Costco. I've never had to wait more than an hour.

I can SO-O-O relate to the "tutored" line. It happened to me once, but by the Great Dane and St. Bernard, never again.

I had to buy some tires for my van this summer and I got them at Sam's. We don't have Big O here. They got me in and out in 45 minutes.
I hope your kids get over their migraines, the tires work well, the papers get graded, and your dog forgets his bad experience at the vet's....LOL
Now I'm going to read about the BOB's.

You couldn't be speaking of our Wal-Mart. It is the third largest in THE WORLD!!! It's a huge, monstrosity of a building. Just ask anyone else in Bedford, we think that it's absolutely grand. I personally think the parking is great, the employees are ALWAYS helpful and honest, and that the empty shelves-due to our store not having enough merchandise to fill them-are perfect. Thanks Wal-Mart for all of your much needed assistance, especially around the holidays.

MamaC, Wal-Mart's always been overrated. I still remember taking an old car to them - not old at the time, of course - for a front end alignment.
When I got it back, the top of the steering wheel was pointing at 1 o'clock.
Will never trust them again for car repairs...
On the other hand, it is sort of hard to screw up a tire repair, so I guess Wal-Mart wouldn't be the worst place to go for that...
But anyway, Wal-Mart... yes, I go there for certain things. But every time I go, I keep getting two disparate, yet oddly related notions in my head:
1. All these customers make me feel like I'm a steer in a cattle drive.
2. All these customers remind me of the zombie crowds in Dawn of the Dead.
Uncharitable? Well, yeah... never said I was a nice guy inside...

Yeah, so who else was willing to fix it? If they hadn't been there to fix the flat, she'd be driving on the doughnut. Give them a little credit. Obviously no one else was open or willing.
