Tell me what you really think.

I think everyone was shopping in my town. It took me 20 minutes just to leave the Costco parking lot this afternoon...so if you're missing folk, they're way over here.

I don't even go out of the house this week, especially not today or tomorrow. How can you do it?
It's not over (but I wish it were).

Just do what I do, make an impossible to finish on time list and tell yourself how Christmas will be ruined if the police department doesn't get cookies, as well as all of the teachers at your daughters school. Keep on shopping until you sit down to wrap at midnight and think WHOA! I TOTALLY overdid it. Or reversely, I really should have bought [mom, sis, friend] more than THAT they are so good to me, then start scouring for one more gift that then has to be wrapped. OR convince yourself in your (my) weird little head that I will have deep DEEP regrets if, before Christmas, the laundry isn't done, including sheets, legs aren't shaved, everyone doesn't have a haircut, house is clean, and bills are paid (HA! guess which of those won't get done!).
Try not to think of it as let down. Try to think of it as soaking in all of the peace of the season. Sit in front of your tree and look at pictures of old Christmases, think of a nice way to brighten a strangers day, watch MASH or A Disney Christmas or that movie that your mom thought was dirty and enjoy your vacation from school. This may be the calm before the storm

Wait...you LIKE wrapping presents? I've never been the crafty sort, and so this is one chore I abhore.
You have a beautiful tree, though. The only thing I don't like about Christmas trees is the thought of taking them down!

I can soo agree with you. I love the prep, the shopping, decorating and wrapping of gifts. I dislike when I am "finished" although I do really enjoy seeing my gifts opened. We finish up at my school the week before Christmas (meaning I was off from the 15th till Jan 3rd) and I always enjoy the last minute shopping and prepping. I am with you!!!
