We USUALLY get weather like that as a matter of course. In fact, I don't even shovel my driveway for less than 12 inches of snow. But this year it's just warm and rainy. And we are still eating broccoli from the garden.

When asked to define "eternity," Dorothy Parker said, " Two people and a ham."

IT ARRIVED IT ARRIVED!!! WOO HOO IT ARRIVED! (last night)
We have been sitting on your box like a hen with her eggs. The weather has indeed made things a little nutty.
My post today says it all.

A) Ten inches last night (over three feet in the backyard) and it's still coming down.
B) UPS has ticked us off for oh-so-many things. I've been using FedEx and the post office unless I don't have a choice
C) Our ham is going to last through this blizzard, along with the milk, bread, pullups, and wine. Lots of wine.
and, last but not least,
D) There's not much national attention to this, but the worst part of these back to back blizzards is that we haven't had trash pickup in over two weeks. The pullups pileth up.

Mmmm...split pea with ham soup anyone? I think it might be warmer where you are, Mamacita, than it is here in (purportedly) sunny southern California!

Send some of that 60-degree weather my way, kindly. We are "basking" at 43, with a low of 28.
(I knew I would figure out a way to make this about ME.)

There is a quince bush in full bloom in my neighborhood - a full 6-8 weeks early, and my forsythia has buds on it!

I've got buttercups coming up and worked out in the yard wearing a tank top the other day. I feel so sorry for those poor folks who are getting snowed in
