Tell me what you really think.

Gravatar Something must be up with computers these past few days- and I don't think it's you. I've read several reports of viruses and Dan found the Secretary of State shut down on Friday right when he HAD to have new license tags.

It's been ages since I had either Steak n Shake OR McDonalds- now, at 9 AM I find myself slathering for a cheesburger and fries. Thanks, Mama.

An Apple a day...

Gravatar That's something. I remember once in Wal-Mart that the power went out, thus the registers weren't working. We were herded into one area lest we try to break out of the store with our items unpaid for.

Ah, Steak and Shake.

Gravatar No Faxasak?
No Takhomasak?!
On account of
Poor arithmetak?
'Tis scary, indeed.
Jane - watch your bak!

Gravatar Of course, it IS scary! But they don't even know how to attempt that, these days.

Computer problems and indeed, all communication and transportation is always worse in times when sun spot activity is heavy. Don't ask me why. I read it a long time ago and personal research has shown it to be true.

Gravatar I knew a guy who seemed to make streetlights go out here and there just by him walking by. Kind of creeped him out.

And another guy (this one into the occult up to his eyebrows) who had a rep as a jinx -- when said Master of Mighty Magick even spoke to you over the phone, something electrical in your house would blow. (The most spectactular story about him was when he called someone on the phone, demanding to know why said someone was shunning him. When told he was a jinx, MoMM asked "What makes you say I'm a jinx?" At that moment, the guy's home cooling fan blew -- burned out motor, at that exact moment.)

Gravatar Wow; your bad luck goes to eleven!!

Gravatar Haven't had steak & shake since I was in Indiana a year ago --

Gravatar I remember when they first installed the scanners in stores...they used to have at least one line that still used the old style register. Wait...did I just date myself? Oh, well....sorry about your issues the other night. It is indeed a letdown when you are ready for Steak and Shake and have to go to McDonald's instead.

Gravatar Aaah, for the good old days...I trained (in my first job) on a cash register that had a pull-down handle and did not advise you as to the amount of change to hand the customer.
The good ol' days.

Gravatar I worked at a gas station at one point. One morning around 5 am opening--just about the time the workers at the factories started off for work--power went out due to a storm. My co-worker--in all her brillance, er, ignorance, wanted to keep all customers until the power was back up. NOT! I got out the calculator and figured it all out--without tax--I figured the store could handle that since it was an inconvenience to the customers. I have never thanked my math teachers more than that morning. I had to hand total everything for almost an hour!
